Will this slow down a pipeline that’s already fast?

It ships read-only and advisory by default — same trust posture as CI checks before you ever turn on auto-merge. Enforcement is opt-in after you’ve seen it be right.

Does it need write access to my deploys or database?

No. Write and enforce capabilities are off by default and only graduate after shadow mode. Auto-fix is supervised investigation first — not an unsupervised self-heal loop.

What happens when it flags something wrong?

It escalates with cited evidence to a human (or an agent with repo access). It does not pretend to know the correct patch and merge it unsupervised.

Do I have to configure every agent before it’s useful?

No. Cross-fleet review and cost attribution are useful day one across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and OpenCode. Stack connectors deepen Sentinel and Shield when you’re ready.

Where do Coding Tasks fit?

Coding Tasks are the mission vehicle — one contract, plan, verify, PR. The Engineering control plane is standing supervision across missions and executors: queue, cost, production verify, rails.

Where does Shield / security fit?
